Introduction to Ohio workers' compensation 

Designed for private and public employers

This session is designed for both private and public employers to summarize the fundamental principles of Ohio’s workers’ compensation system. It is especially beneficial to those new to the system as it provides an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of: the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC), Industrial Commission (IC), Third Party Administrator (TPA) and Managed Care Organization (MCO).

These sessions qualify for 1-hour of the 2-hour Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) safety training requirement for group and group retrospective-rated employers. To be eligible for the BWC safety training requirement credit, the attendee must remain in the session for at least 75% of the total session time. Logging into the webinar is required to receive the 1 hour safety credit. Attendance is not captured for anyone calling into the session. Three business days prior to the webinar date, you will receive an email from seminarrsvp@sedgwick.com. The email will include detailed instructions on how to join the webinar along with a copy of the presentation (if applicable). If the 75% qualification is met for workers' compensation, we will send a certificate of attendance via email within 5 business days of the session date.
