Private employer True-Up due August 15th

With prospective billing the Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) requires that all employers true-up their payroll annually.  To true-up, private employers are required to report their actual payroll for the July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024 policy year and reconcile any differences in premium by August 15, 2024. 

To do this, you must file a true-up report that reflects the actual payroll for that policy year to BWC. You must complete the report online using the payroll true-up report service offering.

As reported through second quarter 2024:

Disability condition relief (formerly known as handicap reimbursement) estimated premium refunds, savings and increase in group retro refunds of $8,179,635.

Settlements estimated premium savings and increase in group retro refunds:$7,078,096.

Motor Vehicle Accidents (MVA) estimated claim costs charged to surplus fund:$4,267,158
(may not equate to dollar-to-dollar savings - based on total costs at time of MVA surplus approval)
